CPALead and CPALock bypass

UPDATE!

Why would I complete a survey just to view a webpage? We are about to do is simply replace every single part of cpalead.com with the code that disables the redirect script. This means that CPALead will disappear forever from your computer!

Mac Version:

So, after downloading and installing GimmerBlocker enable the intrusive/fragile ad filtering filter in the options. The blocker is included with this filter.

Windows Version:

Add the following lines to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (You might have to create this file)

208.94.241.218 cpalead.com cpalock.com www.cpalead.com www.cpalock.com adscendmedia.com www.adscendmedia.com

Should work on Linux too.
(Note: The Windows version includes the cpalead blocked notification by default, and you cannot disable it. This is a limitation of the method I am doing it. Also, in the notification there is the url of this page because this will use the bandwidth of my hosting account.)

CPALead has now been deleted off the internet for you and you will not get redirected to another site because you are blocking it.

On my small test of 4 sites CPALead was gone and the alert I added was the only way I knew it was there. If you do have problems with it still just post a comment here. Please provide a url to the site with CPALead or any other cpa network if you want it fixed.

Support and feedback forum

Support by comments was becoming hard to manage so please use our forum.

Known Issues:

Proxies: If using a proxy you have to do the edits on the proxy itself, not your local machine. NAT (routers/WiFI) is not included in this unless you use a proxy on that router.

Changelog:

V1.2.1
Modified the alert, much less intrusive.
V1.2
CPALock blocker updated (No file edits required)
Blocking Proxy added (http://p.00.im:81/tunnel) (Only use if the hosts file one does not work or you can not edit the file)
V1.1.2
Windows version added
V1.1.1
1. I found a new similar thing called CPALock that the same trick worked but I had to just change the domain.
2. There is also a new option to show an alert when CPALead/CPALock is blocked.
V1.1.0
New directions, much easier. Just subscribe to the filter
Blocks CPALead. Prevents the redirect script from running. Works on all web browsers that support proxies. Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome tested.

V1: Initial Release, hard to do and no longer available.

it seems selfish to block the cpalead thing in my opinion. the people go through some amount of effort to find a download/video/whatever and present it to you, it only seems fair that you do their stupid survey and make them a few nickles for their effort.

iHate CPALeadNovember 17th, 2009 at 11:32 AM

I have never got the surveys to even say that I did them. I tried all three of them and it would not go away. The email address I used to try even now gets lots of spam now.

ArthurNovember 29th, 2009 at 3:51 PM

I don’t understand this it’s way too complicated. i installed GlimmerBlocker but i don’t get it!
can you maybe explain in a few simpeler steps! THANKS!

dmmcintyre3December 2nd, 2009 at 11:58 AM

@Arthur Are you using Firefox? Then it might be it is not set to use the system proxy settings. In Firefox Preferences go to advanced –> network then click on settings under connection (top option for me)

HackerKidDecember 16th, 2009 at 10:26 PM

This actually worked! No other bypasser I tried worked. AdBlock Plus just redirected me to a page telling be to disable it. Like Arthur I could not figure it out before but now it was so easy!

WarlockDecember 26th, 2009 at 4:25 PM

” it seems selfish to block the cpalead thing in my opinion. the people go through some amount of effort to find a download/video/whatever and present it to you, it only seems fair that you do their stupid survey and make them a few nickles for their effort.”

Selfish? What selfish? Just because you get links from the internet for free, you try to make money out of it. Thats selfish. I am fed up to make those surveys and after a few min you only get dead links.
This CPA lead system is the most annoying system on the net.

{Admin Edit: Removed spammy part. Also, the site the spam linked to did not work. Also, don’t double spam with 2 different names, your IP and email was the same}

noshiDecember 26th, 2009 at 6:22 PM

This is the problem. While I would normally agree with dan the problem is that ruthless website owners are using content that they DO NOT legally own while using cpalead to earn profit. While the surfer may or may not know they are accessing content illegally at the very least the pirate site owner should not be compensated. CPALEAD should be banned because many site owners are merely redirecting to other servers for the actual content while not hosting it on their own. It’s very dishonest.

jasonJanuary 1st, 2010 at 7:33 AM

Would this be possible to do on windows xp?

dmmcintyre3January 1st, 2010 at 11:48 AM

I’m not really sure, I am looking for a way. It will most likely involve editing system files though.

[EDIT:]
Post Updated

jasonJanuary 2nd, 2010 at 1:23 PM

Thanks for the effort dmmcintyre3, but this windows bypass does not work on sites like http://www.rapidit.info for me – can someone check if the mac version does?

dmmcintyre3January 2nd, 2010 at 2:31 PM

I cannot figure out a way to block it, or even how it is detecting it. I’m working on it

It works now.

MarkJanuary 2nd, 2010 at 8:39 PM

Thanks for this info, this really helps me get around on the internet again. CPlead was blocking me on many websites and usually didn’t even have any surveys available for my region.

dmmcintyre3January 2nd, 2010 at 9:20 PM

@mark Are you using the Windows version or the Mac version?

kJanuary 3rd, 2010 at 9:45 PM

thanks dmmcintyre3!

i tried many methods around the web, but this is the only one works (on windows)!
now your site is on my bookmarks :D

@jason: i tried on rslinkgens and rapidit it works perfectly fine!

P.S. sorry for my bad english.

EnricoJanuary 3rd, 2010 at 10:33 PM

Many many many thanksss!!!! Your methods is the only one that really works! You’re great! Tested on rapidit and it works like a charm! Thank you!

jasonJanuary 4th, 2010 at 5:40 AM

Perhaps they quickly fixed something, or maybe it’s just not working for me. When I go to e.g. http://www.rapidit.info it directs me to this page: http://cpalead.com/nojava.php?pub=32902, with this message (site is completely blank except for this line) :

Also, It seems you’ve changed something since my last post here, and I’ve recopied those lines into “hosts”, but I can’t seem to figure out what’s changed.

dmmcintyre3January 4th, 2010 at 11:28 AM

That happens when you have javascript disabled. Try a different web browser

kingsdsdJanuary 4th, 2010 at 2:10 PM

Very big thanks works perfect for me nice work

jasonJanuary 4th, 2010 at 2:37 PM

@dmmcintyre3
You’re right, it works fine on another browser. And after fiddling a bit more with Firefox, it seems Adblock Plus have to be disabled for this to work for me.

Thanks a lot, your work is greatly appreciated!

STEVETHEKINGJanuary 4th, 2010 at 8:52 PM

jason’s right

adblock must be disabled

THX dmmcintyre3!!!
U R THE MAN =]

RadixJanuary 5th, 2010 at 2:17 AM

This trick works 110%

Thank your for sharing this good things bro…

Excellent!!!

aRiaNeJanuary 5th, 2010 at 9:06 AM

@dmmcintyre3

just excuse me for a while but i dunno– there’s been a problem with my case.. does this work for windows vista x64? i’m using firefox and google chrome.. Moreover, i’ve tried it on different internet cafes running windows xp and it worked but when i used it here in my PC.. it always fails.. the site i’m trying to visit at is “rapidit.info” & “rslinkgens.info”..
thank you for having concern with my inquiry.. Anyway, this really works great even not as for me but for other users.. hope this system will last long.. :)

dmmcintyre3January 5th, 2010 at 11:02 AM

Were you getting any type of error when saving the file? Does doing this help:
http://geekswithblogs.net/thibbard/archive/2006/12/13/ChangingYourHostsFileInVista.aspx

stevethekingJanuary 5th, 2010 at 6:09 PM

dmmcintyre3..

u got any more tricks up ur sleeves?

dmmcintyre3January 5th, 2010 at 6:11 PM

If I find it, I post it. It’s that simple

aRiaNeJanuary 7th, 2010 at 11:12 AM

@dmmcintyre3

http://geekswithblogs.net/thibbard/archive/2006/12/13/ChangingYourHostsFileInVista.aspx
-this link doesn’t helped me anyhow.. plus,i’m not encountering any error when saving the file..
i dunno where’s the problem,do u have any better idea? have u tested it working on a platform just like mine? thanks..

dmmcintyre3January 7th, 2010 at 12:42 PM

I don’t know why it won’t work in vista x64. What happens when you type cpalead.com into your web browser?

aRiaNeJanuary 8th, 2010 at 2:27 AM

nothing comes out when i visit cpalead.com as in pure white.. blank site.. but in cpalock.com,i can view all of the stuffs about the site (linking me to perfect tracking).. i already edited my hosts file and its already been saved.. but why is it, it doesn’t work?

ArmitageJanuary 9th, 2010 at 7:44 AM

I tried using the hosts file at one point and ran into problems. Firefox users can install the NoScript addon and have it forbid META redirects inside NOSCRIPT tags. Then just leave adblock on.

dmmcintyre3January 9th, 2010 at 12:35 PM

Right, if you just put a random ip or 127.0.0.1 as a ip it will not work. This is redirecting the request for the gateway to the location of the code that disables the redirector.

dmmcintyre3January 9th, 2010 at 12:43 PM

Then it’s not using your hosts file. What’s it show after you restart and hold down shift and right click, click on ‘open command window here’ and In the new window that came up type ipconfig /displaydns ?

ryanJanuary 13th, 2010 at 2:25 AM

Hi, dmmcintyre3

I have try this on my single PC, and succeed.
But when I try this on my office PC, it’s fail (local area network PC, connected to internet via proxy).
Can you help me to solve this problem?

Thx

dmmcintyre3January 13th, 2010 at 12:38 PM

When you go to cpalead.com on the work pc, does it show the following:

If not, you did something wrong or your work pc blocks your hosts file.

RobJanuary 13th, 2010 at 3:10 PM

Just wanted to say thanks! This works great.

joJanuary 15th, 2010 at 12:22 PM

anyone experiencing that it’s not working on http://www.rapidit.info/index.php at the moment?
(I have been using it for a few weeks, and it’s been working fine until today)

scaikoJanuary 15th, 2010 at 2:29 PM

joJanuary 16th, 2010 at 11:39 AM

Seems to be working again. Very curious.

TesterJanuary 19th, 2010 at 10:14 AM

The only thing over the internet that works. Keep it this way man. TX.

TesterJanuary 19th, 2010 at 1:07 PM

By the way, can you delete the hack method ? coz they’ll fix if they’ll read it. :D

dmmcintyre3January 19th, 2010 at 1:10 PM

I will just rehack it if they do, but just like the way I hacked it they could just do it like you would if they wanted to see how I did it

MisterXXXJanuary 20th, 2010 at 3:59 PM

Very big thanks for doing this jop, very nice work

txBOIJanuary 24th, 2010 at 3:08 PM

I usually don’t comment on tips and tricks i find online (yeah i know asshole) but god damn THANK YOU FOR THIS ur brilliant

keep it up

MattJanuary 24th, 2010 at 4:44 PM

Where can I find the windows version of GlimmerBlocker? How do I install it? I have already made changes to my hosts file, but I am not sure how to implement the changes.

dmmcintyre3January 24th, 2010 at 4:46 PM

You do not need GlimmerBlocker on windows.

FreddyJanuary 26th, 2010 at 11:58 AM

Heya!

It doesn’t seem to work on: http://www.justacai.com/Your-Code.php – i get your popup but then i just get to their errorpage saying i’m blocking ads.. I hope you can help!

Thanks in advance :)
/F

dmmcintyre3January 26th, 2010 at 12:01 PM

It does not seem to work for me. Some sites it just does not work on. I don’t know why

achmadzJanuary 27th, 2010 at 9:57 AM

@Freddy:
That page are even easier to bypass. You can do it using Opera 10.50 (pre-alpha). Just view the page source, remove CPALock javascript code then “Apply changes”.. whoala!!.. the survey window disappear

BabonJanuary 28th, 2010 at 3:27 AM

WOW ! It’s work… Thanks

thakidJanuary 29th, 2010 at 1:56 PM

could someone email instructions on how to do this with windows? i tried it but it didn’t work, someone help please!

dmmcintyre3January 29th, 2010 at 1:58 PM

thakidJanuary 30th, 2010 at 12:19 PM

Is there a way to bypass Adscend Media surveys? Rslinkgens.com doesn’t work anymore because change its survey to Adscend Media one

TXboiJanuary 31st, 2010 at 3:11 PM

aw doesn’t work on http://www.rslinkgens.info anymore

think u can fix it?

thx in advance

dmmcintyre3January 31st, 2010 at 7:26 PM

That one is even easier to block. add this line to the same file
0.0.0.0 adscendmedia.com
0.0.0.0 http://www.adscendmedia.com

EnricoJanuary 31st, 2010 at 8:10 PM

Many thanks again dmmcintyre3! It works perfectly now! You’re the best! :-) )))

RadixFebruary 2nd, 2010 at 4:00 AM

It doesn’t work with adscend media survey using the above trick. :(
Adscend media still popup.

dmmcintyre3February 2nd, 2010 at 1:24 PM

Just fixed it.

EnricoFebruary 2nd, 2010 at 4:20 PM

@ Radix Did you try to exit to your browser and reload the site? I noticed that if you don’t close you browser and restart it it doesn’t work

Frasier LoverFebruary 2nd, 2010 at 9:23 PM

Man, you’re a genius. Thank you SO much. I really mean it. This was the MOST effective of all the tricks out there. :)

RadixFebruary 2nd, 2010 at 10:13 PM

Thank you very much dmmcintyre3 works great…

110% working now!

Excellent work :)

dmmcintyre3February 4th, 2010 at 1:34 AM

I know it is not working on rapidit.info. It works on and off there and I do not know why. If they would stay with one cpa network I could work on it

InzinyrFebruary 4th, 2010 at 12:42 PM

If I use tamper data rslinkgen.info or http://www.rapidit.info, until this request http://www.rslinkgens.info/ajax.php?mod=getBandwidth or http://www.downloadpremium.net/ajax.php?mod=getBandwidth
is page OK (using your bypass)

mmmFebruary 4th, 2010 at 1:02 PM

I think that rapidit.info has change there protection script also seam to be the case with rslinkgens. I have a week memory about reading on a site i browsed through that they were going to change the protection things but cant remember where i found that now.

dmmcintyre3February 4th, 2010 at 1:08 PM

They (rslinkgen.info and rapidit.info) have tried 3 different CPA networks since I made this. It works on all other sites using this but not those.

mmmFebruary 4th, 2010 at 1:17 PM

Yes can verify it works on several other sites for me also, and it did work great on rslinkgens/rapidit untill today for me :) .. Well hopefully there will be some kind of sollution in reach (crossing my fingers) I just wish i had more experiences in the area to understand more about this. :)

GuestFebruary 4th, 2010 at 2:34 PM

So is there anyway you can fix it for rapidit.info?

dmmcintyre3February 4th, 2010 at 2:40 PM

If I can figure out what disables the redirector I can.

GuestFebruary 4th, 2010 at 3:52 PM

So how do I know when you’ve found out? Do I just keep checking this site for updates?

dmmcintyre3February 4th, 2010 at 3:54 PM

It will just start working. Every time you go to a site with cpalock it downloads the current version of the script.

Currently, it is working on rapidit and rslinkgens. The only glitch is there is a green square showing.

dabyd64February 4th, 2010 at 4:46 PM

HEY, I DECODED THE NEW RSLINKGENS.INFO SCRIPT, AS IT IS PACKED.
ALSO I GOT THE WAY OF BYPASSING IT, WITHOUT ANY SQUARE OR ANYTHING.

THE NEW PROTECTION SCRIPT, INCLUDED IN RSLINKGENS SITE IS:

eval(function(p,a,c,k,e,r){e=function(c){return(c35?String.fromCharCode(c+29):c.toString(36))};if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–)r[e(c)]=k[c]||e(c);k=[function(e){return r[e]}];e=function(){return’\\w+’};c=1};while(c–)if(k[c])p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\\b’+e(c)+’\\b’,'g’),k[c]);return p}(‘o.p=q(){r a=e.t(“u”);v(!a){e.w.x=”G, H\’I J a K…L M/N g h i!O P Q d\’R S j T i k 6.2.4 U l m.V l m g W X Y, d Z 10 11 12 j 13 14\’s 15 16d 17 18 h 19 1a k 6.2.4 .”;1b(“1c!\\n\\1d 1e 1f 1g,\\1h 1i 1j 1k 1l:\\1m.2.4″)}}’,62,85,’BR|font|cpalock||com||www|size||face|||tahoma|you|document|center|is|blocking|advertisments|to|from|this|page||window|onload|function|var||getElementById|GateTable|if|body|innerHTML|img|src|http||warning|jpg|color|FF0000|Oops|We|ve|got|problem|Your|browser|computer|It|seems|like|re|trying|block|on|Since|sponsored|by|CPALock|will|not|be|able|access|it|content|until|disable|the|of|advertisment|alert|ERROR|nTo|View|This|Page|nPlease|Disable|Blocking|Advertisments|From|nwww’.split(‘|’),0,{}))

NOW, DECODED CAN SEE IT CHECKS FOR ELEMENT ID “GATETABLE”:

window.onload=function(){
var a=document.getElementById(“GateTable”);
if(!a){document.body.innerHTML=”Oops, We’ve got a problem…Your browser/computer is blocking advertisments!It seems like you’re trying to block advertisments from
http://www.cpalock.com on this page.Since this page is sponsored by CPALock, you will not be able to access it’s content untilyou disable the blocking of advertisment from http://www.cpalock.com .”;alert(“ERROR!\n\nTo View This Page,\nPlease Disable Blocking Advertisments From:\nwww.cpalock.com”)}}

TO BYPASS THIS, ADD THIS TO ACTUAL SCRIPT:

document.write(“”);

THAT’S ALL!!
SO NOW THE SCRIPT WILL LOOK LIKE THIS:

var isloaded = true;
document.write(“”);

dmmcintyre3February 4th, 2010 at 5:05 PM

Thanks, That made it work without the glitch with the box showing. I could tell it was checking for the element gatetable from that (JavaScript Deobfuscator firefox plugin helped decode it) but I was not sure what to do. I edited the code a little to close the div tag incase it would mess something else up.

GuestFebruary 4th, 2010 at 5:19 PM

Oh man you’re awesome. Great job!

jasonFebruary 4th, 2010 at 6:03 PM

Good work dabyd64, and dmmcintyre3 you’re a blessing!

dmmcintyre3February 5th, 2010 at 9:00 PM

http://p.00.im:81/tunnel should work too. Please, do not abuse this or use it for normal browsing. If abused, I will disable it. (more than 64 GB BW a month or illegal activity)

BahmanFebruary 6th, 2010 at 4:27 AM

It works very good.

Thank you very much.

Hello, i tried to understand what re talking about.. but kinda lost u.. i downloaded a movie, that required a code, there was a text tha said i should go to a certain page to get the code, i did, it asked me to do something with a survey, but bellow it said it’s not available for my country.. sorry for the eng, i m from greece.. is there any way for me to get the code… ?? YayMovies.com this is the page i was supposed to get the code

dmmcintyre3February 7th, 2010 at 8:10 PM

did you try editing the file specified?

EqwEFebruary 7th, 2010 at 9:15 PM

Thanks for this but theres a site that asks for postbacks from CPALEAD
http://passpremiums.com/
is there a way to bypass that?

dmmcintyre3February 7th, 2010 at 9:41 PM

Not really, you would have to fake the survey completion.

[...] Note: The Windows version includes the CPALead blocked notification by default, and you cannot disable it. Also, in the notification there is the URL of this page because this will use the bandwidth of the author’s hosting account. [...]

and use http://www.jidox.com/
without install the hotbar!!

thanks in advance, :)

dmmcintyre3February 8th, 2010 at 1:11 PM

Ok, that is easy. 0.0.0.0 http://www.jidox.com.prositefinder.com

Remove any http:// and / from that, the comment system is making it a link. Note: this will have to be done for every site using this.

Another option is to change to a “Mac” with a user agent switcher, that was why I was not finding it. That trojan does not work on Macs so they did not force you to install it.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

The googlebot option in there works too.

FarzaFebruary 8th, 2010 at 10:36 PM

the bypass is not working anymore for me since today, it worked a few days ago though.

Dear dmmcintyre3
You are just genius !. Your trick worked for me with (Rapidit.info) & (Rslinkgens.info). I no longer see the request of survey, but each time I enter the rapidshare link to (Rslinkgens, info) a message appear to me saying
“Sorry! This Service is not available for your country!”

I am very confident that your genius brain will be able to bypass this also.
waiting for your kind reply

dmmcintyre3February 9th, 2010 at 9:39 PM

Were you using the proxy (http://p.00.im:81/tunnel) or the host file edit? Your IP shows you are in egypt which might be blocked. Does rapidit.info say the same thing?

Sh3R3iFFebruary 10th, 2010 at 4:05 AM

i’m from egypt too,
and i’m using WJ Button add-on for firefox
you can get it from here
